Introduction
BATEC opened in Barcelona in 1975 as an audiovisual school. Five decades on, it has become an integrated ecosystem: the BATEC Institute for professional training, five active studios, BATEC Productions as an in-house production house, and BATEC Lab for audiovisual R&D in hardware, tools and prototypes.
Why we featured them
Why we featured them: The model is built on learning by doing. Training runs next to real productions across 3,136 m² of studio, control and audio space and €1.98M of equipment, and a network of more than 500 companies connects students with the industry. The studios and equipment are also available to rent, so outside creators and production teams can use the same infrastructure.
