Since 2006 it has handled every stage itself, from its own vines in Marikaj through bottling, sales and tastings.
Introduction
Kantina Bardha was founded in 2006 as a family-owned winery in the hills of Marikaj, just outside Tirana. The aim from the start was wine that reflects Albania's winemaking heritage while meeting modern production standards, made from grapes grown on its own vineyards.
Why we featured them
Why we featured them: The winery runs the complete process itself: cultivation, harvest, vinification, maturation, bottling and distribution, pairing traditional grape-growing with modern vinification. Its bottlings include Merlot, Barbera, Primitivo, Shesh i Zi and Shesh i Bardhë. Over the years it has also become an agritourism stop, with guided winery visits and tastings paired with local specialties.
